Introduction
Flight-LogIQ ("we," "us," or "our") provides tools for flight schools, instructors, and students to manage scheduling, training records, and logbook data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it when you use our websites and mobile applications (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
Data usage: device permissions
Our mobile apps may request the following permissions. We use each only for the purposes below and do not use them for advertising or unrelated tracking.
Location (GPS and approximate location)
We use location to support flight operations and training workflows that depend on where a flight or training event occurs — for example, to record or verify activity associated with a booking or logbook entry, to show relevant local scheduling or airfield context when you choose to use those features, and to improve safety-related experiences where location is part of the task you are performing in the app. We do not sell your location data. You can reduce or withdraw location access through your device settings; some features may be limited if location is disabled.
Camera
We use the camera when you take a new photo inside the app — for example, to capture profile or document images, inspection or maintenance-related images when your school uses those workflows, or other content you actively choose to attach to records. Images are used only in connection with the feature you are using and are stored and transmitted securely as described in this policy.
Photo library
We access your photo library only when you select an existing photo to upload — for example, a profile picture or a document image required by your school. We do not browse or import your entire library; only items you explicitly select are uploaded.
Flight log data
Flight log and related training data you enter in Flight-LogIQ (including times, aircraft, instructors, students, endorsements, and notes) are collected so your organization can operate training programs, maintain regulatory and school records, and provide you with accurate history in the Service. Data is stored using industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS / TLS) where applicable, access controls aligned with your school's roles and permissions, and secure cloud storage for files and backups as configured for the platform. We use this information only to provide and improve the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the rights and safety of users and the public. We do not sell personal flight log data to third parties.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Flight-LogIQ user account and associated personal profile information.
- In the app or web app: open your user menu, choose Account, go to the Security tab, and use the Delete account button. You will be asked to confirm. Confirming starts the deletion process for your account and personal profile data as described here.
- By email: send a request from your registered email address to contactus@trufinixx.com with the subject line "Account deletion." We may verify your identity before completing the request.
Some operational or training records may need to be retained by your flight school or under applicable aviation or education regulations. Where retention applies, we work with your organization and limit use to legitimate legal, safety, or record- keeping purposes. After deletion is processed, you may lose access to the Service with that account.
